PLANS AND COSTING DYNAMIC DUO

Building software specialist HBXL has launched a CAD – based drawing package, PlansXpress, which when used with HBXL’s estimating software EstimatorXpress, will allow users to draw plans for their house then automatically price up and schedule the build directly from these plans.
To create architect-standard plans, all you have to do is use the drag and drop tools to place walls, roofs, staircases, doors, windows, electrics, plumbing, drainage and so on. Once the drawings are complete, you can insert sections and notes. But perhaps even more importantly, once you’ve completed the drawings for your new house, at the click of a button you can price up the plans right down to the last nail – and, if necessary, make changes to cut costs.
Very useful if you discover that a design feature you’re not particularly attached to has added thousands to your build!
