NEW HEALTH AND SAFETY SOFTWARE MORE CRUCIAL THAN EVER!
The latest version of HBXL’s Health & Safety Xpert software has been launched.
The new edition (version 3) includes a number of brand new features that will help builders across the country produce the necessary health and safety paperwork for every job.
With the number of deaths on construction sites rising by a massive 28% to a total of 77 workers in 2007 with more than half of these deaths happening in the refurbishment sector - the need to comply with the latest regulations and make sure that building sites are safe from the outset has therefore become of paramount concern with the Health & Safety Executive (HSE).
Adding to its comprehensive library of forms and paperwork, the latest version of this award-winning software includes brand new risk assessments, extra COSHH assessments, scaffolding handover forms, a pre-construction information pack which is essential under the CDM 2007 regulations and a new accident investigation form.
Anthony Botibol, marketing manager at HBXL said: “The latest figures from the HSE really brings home the importance to have the correct documentation in place. What we have done is improve the software so that builders will easily be able to produce the right paper work for the job in hand.”
Developed in partnership with leading health and safety professionals, the first version of Health & Safety Xpert was launched in 2006 and has encouraged a more active approach to health and safety for thousands of builders across the country.
It saves builders huge amounts of time, quickly guiding them through the crucial paper work that’s required under current UK law, including the Health & Safety At Work Act 1974 and Construction Design Management (CDM) Regulations 2007.
Anthony added: “Principal contractors and duty-holders must have the relevant risk assessments in place. If they don’t they could find themselves under the scrutiny of the HSE.
“Falls and trips are high on the agenda with the HSE and Health & Safety Xpert simplifies the process of producing the right documents. All users have to do is tell the software what they are building and it will present the hazards, suggest control measures to put in place and produce the paperwork accordingly.
“Equally, users of our EstimatorXpress estimating software can import their estimate into Health & Safety Xpert which automatically generates the appropriate documents based on the detail of the job.
“There is virtually no typing required saving huge amounts of time that would otherwise be spent sorting out the paperwork.
“Anyone working on any building site should look out for hazards and take time to control the risks as best they can. Health & Safety Xpert goes a long way to help manage such risks and reduce the number of accidents.”
Health & Safety Xpert version 3 is priced at £798 + VAT. This includes a compulsory support package which keeps the software up-to-date with all the latest regulation changes before they happen.
