  Builders spend ages writing up quotes, producing health and safety paperwork and designing plans, or in many cases might pay someone else to do this for them, so by taking over these administrative functions for the business apprentices can help the builder immensely and reduce overheads of the business, thus providing real value to the building company.

  Apprentices can get fully working software from HBXL for 3 months AND we’ll even give you free online training to get up-to-speed so you can be assisting your boss with estimates, designs and health & safety straight away!

  PlansXpress: CAD software for builders, not architects

  Students can easily learn how to use CAD software to draw professional building plans and elevations to architect standard. PlansXpress is designed for builders (not architects) and therefore is a practical software tool that students are likely to use in their future (unlike other CAD software which is not applicable to their future working lives.)

  Health & Safety Xpert: Learning the paperwork required by law

• What does the apprentice and building firm get?

  
  

  Should a company employ an apprentice, the apprentice can apply for a fully featured 3 month apprentice licence of any of our core software packages with free online tuition to get them up and running (PlansXpress, EstimatorXpress, Health & Safety Xpert and ContractsXpert).

  
  

  This has multiple benefits for the firm. Building firms often miss out on contracts due to a lack of skills and their ability to handle workload. Our software aims to help firms win profitable business through the professionalism and speed of turnaround of everything they do – whether it is creating a project scheme / drawing up plans / pricing the job and producing quotations / developing a build program / producing health and safety paperwork that meets CHAS and CDM guidelines or putting in place a watertight building contract.

• What happens after 3 months?

  
  

  Should the apprentice – or indeed any member of the company employing the apprentice - get benefit from the software during the 3 month apprentice licence, it can then be purchased at a discounted price by the builder and our intention is that the apprentice, as the main user of the software, can secure his position as a very skilled and useful member of the firm.

• What’s the deal?

   

  At the end of the 3 months you can then get 15% off the software of your choice AND a completely free 2nd copy for the apprentice while they are employed by you which means that you can both use it at the same time!
